Rainbow Crochet Unicorn Hat

Little Miss Charlotte wants to be a rainbow unicorn for Halloween this year. I thought it would be fun to crochet her a unicorn hat that she could still wear in the winter. I found an awesome and free crochet unicorn hat pattern over at Repeat Crafter Me blog. Actually I found a lot of awesome crochet patterns on her blog!
I wanted ears that were more pointed and had pink on the inside so that it would tie in the pink trim that my daughter wanted. I started by making kitty ears from this video tutorial. When I was finished I just folded them in half and sewed the bottoms together to make them look more like horse ears.

I used the bow from this adorable Hello Kitty hat pattern.

  2. I have to make my youngest daughter one too and then I'm thinking of making myself a minion hat :) I'm not that skilled at crochet and thought it was pretty easy. The only part that gave me a little trouble was the horn because I kept losing track of what row I was on...lol.

    1. She is one happy girl. The only problem is it's really hot in Florida and I had to hide it since she kept wanting to wear it while playing outside...haha. Thanks for stopping by :)
